Leather Case

My husband always had a leather case on the phone (before we got the flip phone). He had it because his mom used to always get makeup all over our phone if she used it. In my opinion, the case was a pain in the neck. It was hard to get on the phone, then sometimes it would slide around and cover the buttons or speakers in a weird way. It was definitely an accessory I could have lived without. I'm really glad we don't have one anymore.

Completely agree with you. I had gotten a free leather case with my old phone and I had the same problem. It would always move around. So no one could ever hear me and I couldn't hear anything either. I always ended up taking the case off anyways. I will never buy one again. They look nice but just aren't functional.

Exactly. Mine had a plastic portion over where you would punch in the numbers. It looked cheap and was difficult to use. It came with my phone so luckily I didn't pay any money for it, but I got rid of it ASAP.

add me to the list of leather case haters. I received one as a Christmas gift and I feel bad not using it because I know they are not cheap. If I go to my aunt's house (she bought it for me) then I will put it on the phone just for show, otherwise I don't use it.

I had a leather case. But it was kind of cheaply made and I didn't use it very long before it sort of fell apart on me. I don't really like them. I'd rather do without a case.

I had the exact same problem. The case made it very hard to dial the numbers, and ocasionally ment me dialing wrong numbers

I absolutely HATE leather cases. Sure some of the may look nice, but in my opinion, I think phones look fine in holsters, or in one of their special "snap" on carrying cases.

It's a huge pain in the neck to take things in and out whenever you wanted, and some times the leather cases are poorly made and block the camera lens (if you have one).

Phones look so sleek and sexy these days that cases just make them look lumpy and out of date. There is no need for them anymore!

I have a pleather/vinyl case I cannibalized from my father's old nokia phone. It is for a phone twice the size of mine, however the solution to that problem actually made the entire phone case idea useful. There is now about a half in of foam packed into the case with my phone. Thanks to that padding, I have yet to break this phone in spite of Numerous falls onto every hard surface imaginable.

Leather cases are not needed, but I like my plastic "case" which is more of a protection thing than for holding / image. It puts a hard plastic screen on the screen (0.o) of the phone, to prevent scratching and oily hands. It's really useful.

I think just putting a protective film over the screen is good enough. Given the number of times I've dropped my phone, I think it's reasonable to conclude that modern phones are pretty resistant to impact.

I do not use leather cases but they are nice. My brother in law uses one and it keeps his phone looking brand new.
