Cell Phone Faceplates?
Just wondering how many of you use a faceplate over your phone. They seem to come in very color and design imaginable. I don't use one, I like my phone the way it is. But what I was wondering is there any other value to having a faceplate other than for looks? Does it protect your cell phone at all?
A lot of the newer phones now a day don't really use faceplates. I think it was just a huge fad with all the older, notoriously horrible nokia phones.
I have a Razr v3, and unfortunately, they don't offer any sort of aftermarket modifications to the phone, and to be honest, I probably wouldn't touch em.
I think the aftermarket is beginning to realize that we like our phones the way they are, especially when they already look cool enough themselves.
I remember my first phone - one of those nokia ones. It was decked out with a flashing battery, flashing face plate, glowing antennas...the works. Now I look back, and all I want to do is just laugh at myself.
No faceplate for me either, though I have a couple little stickers on mine. Faceplates just look lumpy and cheap.

When I had a Nokia, I got a new faceplate. It was purple! I can't get a new faceplate for the phone I have now! I don't really care, because I think it looks pretty cool the way it is! Silver and black!!

I bought one of these before from a vendor in the mall. Right when I put it on, and then tried to call someone, my plate cracked. I was so upset, because the vendor wouldn't give me a refund. He said it was totally my fault. I was so gentle with this, it's almost imposible to break it!
I didn't think they still made these, they were a good fad while they lasted but I think the way phones are designed these days, they would look ugly with a plastic flag/zebra/leaf on the front.
I need one as scratched up as my phone is right now, really at one point and time I wanted one but after a while it just seemed like a waste of my money.

I use a modified phone case for my cell. I don't even think my phone even has a removable face plate, but either way it'd be pointless. I fear faceplates have just about reached the end of their fame.
All we can do now is sit back and wait for those little dangly bits japanese girls put on their phones to migrate over to the west.
I buy faceplates as well. It's not an important issue for me but they are so cheap that I just get them regularly, lol. I used to stay away from them cause I didn't think they were worth the money but now I always get mine off of Ebay, super cheap.

I know a few people that buy faceplates. I've never been interested in purchasing one... they're not appealing.

If you have a phone that doesn't use express on covers, then you could always paint your phone a wacky colour of something, i have seen people do this. lol
LoL, wtf? I use a faceplate, but its just a plain clear one.

I used to have a few different faceplates for my old bar phone but I can not do that anymore because I have a flip phone.

Face plates are pretty much gone ...and good riddance I'd say. I had a couple on old Nokias, and they never worked right.

I dont think they make cell phone plates for my cell phone. Motorola v710? I would like to change it up I think, flip phones tend to not have that option.
