Keep safe when buying online, beware of hustlers/cheaters like phonevolts.ie

I attempted to buy some phone items from this site, a couple of Blackberry charger plus a "Universal Mobile Phone Voice Changer" for my nieces upcoming Birthday. I sent them an email to confirm that all items were in stock and available before ordering, this was as they were seen on their web site. The sales manager said, "yes they were both in stock if you pay now it will be dispatched today for you". So I paid. 20 minutes later I get two emails saying...

"New status: Back Ordered

Thank you for your order.Unfortunately the product(s) you require is/are currently out of stock.We have placed an order with our Suppliers.We will process your order as soon as the delivery is received."

This was minutes after contacting the sales manager and saying the items were in stock, so I went back to check the website and low and behold, still in stock on the site (but it isn't really!! they just want your money).


Three weeks passed and I heard nothing form these cowboys despite emailing them 3-4 times, except for the same "canned" email repsonse. All I wanted to to find out was what the hell they were doing, absolutely no indication on the status of my order. After suggesting that I would have to seek consumer advice, I quickly recieved an email saying that my items would be dispatched "within 2-3 business days". When received my chargers, only one of them was what I ordered. Oh and the "voice changer for Mobile Phone" kinda worked for a day or two and then died. All items were just thrown together in one crinkly see through bag. I didnt bother contacting this person again.

This company messed me around and sent me junk. I will think twice before buying online again after this experience ,and warn people to do alot of research on a company before being taken for a nightmare rollercoaster ride.

Im sorry you have come across bad service and goods.

Its always best to do as much homework as you can by looking at the company, and any customer reviews.

Aways look at their terms and conditions.

Sometimes if the price is too good to be true then it normally is.

Personally I dont purchase from unknown sites only well known ones that are also found on the highstreet.

Auction sites can be hit and miss too.
