I currently have a Blackberry Bold 9000 with O2 on a 24 month contract, which ends in 2012. I'm extremely unhappy with the phone and simply cannot wait until 2012 to get a new phone.

I understand that if I want to terminate my contract for the Blackberry that I need to buy myself out of the contract, and as it is so long away until it ends I cannot afford to do so.

IF, however, I buy a second hand iPhone (SIM and contract free of course), would I be able to alter my contract with O2 so that my SIM is compatible with the phone? I'm guessing I'd need to cancel the Blackberry data side of my contract plan and take up an unlimited data plan for the iPhone (as obviously an iPhone is pretty useless without it).

I have a question: how to move my gmail contacts to my iphone so that it updates the phone and NOT the gmail contacts?

I just updated all my contacts on the gmail account, and want to move them (sync) with my phone. But when I go to itunes and use the DEVICES/ INFO / SYNC CONTACTS WITH option, it tells me:
"Syncing with "Google Contacts" will change more than 25% of your contacts on this computer." Obviously I dont want to do that.
