Are games worth the money?

I looked into downloading a game for my phone. It was about $5-10. Just want to know if it is worth it. Anyone have an experience they would like to share?

Well I bought a $2.00 game and it worked fine. I dont think it is worth it to buy a $7.00 game since you dont really use your CELL PHONE to play video games unless you are really, really bored.

$5-$10? Thats quite a price range. I would say it depends on the game. most games for my phone are only good per month. If its $8 a month, not worth it. $8 for life and its a good game you'll play a lot, maybe worth it. this wasnt a very specific post for wanting to know whether or not something was worth it.

I don't think it's worth it to download a game that is low on graphics/playability (probably) for $5-10. You could get free ones, or just stick with your normal ones. Mobile phones are for phoning people, not playing games.

I have only bought a chap one for about $2.00 and I thought that it was worth it because I had a fun time playing it. I would not pay over $3 for a game becasue it would be a waste.

I'd look at if you plan to play the game a lot - for two bucks you can just jerk around with it and play it once ina while, but if you're shelling out ten bucks you better be serious about playing!

Cheap games from $0.01-$1.99 may be worthwhile. You can spend a lot of free, and otherwise boring, time playing the game. It's a fun way to kill time.

WARNING: You're bound to get bored of it, though.

Buy a cable and load your phone up with games for free. There are 1,000's of places to download free games on the net. i have over 4,000 games for my nokia and it only cost me the price of a DKU-2 cable.

Yes, most of those games do get annoying very quickly.

Well I have found that it can be very hit and miss, that price does not in anyway account for everything. I have around 30 games on my Razr, all approx $5-$10, and so far, the best all around game i have seen for the phone is the new mobile doom. it is the closest i have seen a mobile game come to the PC version. On the other side of the coin, the new leisure suit larry was a complete waste.

This may be like a stupid question, but how do you store them? Don't they take up an awful lot of memory? Heck, I find myself running out of storage even for my text messages! (Of course, I'm a packrat so I have to be prodded to cleam them out.) But games seem like they'd use a ton of space....

I think it's definately worth buying a few games. I've only bought one, but I occasionally play it when I'm bored and have nothing else to do. I don't regret the purchase.

I think buying games is a rip-off. I look for free ones online that support a WAP browser and I get it with my cell phone's browser instead.

However they never really worked well because my phone had a non-standard screen size =/

I would love to get Bubble Bobble for my next phone, though.
