Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 Get the Remaster Treatment
Following the release of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, the fine folks at Vicarious Visions announced the revival of another beloved franchise: Tony Hawk. The blockbusters of the '90s and 2000, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be available in remastered condition on September 4, 2020, in a single package, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, the Xbox One family, and PC through the Epic Store platform.
The remaster will include blockbuster songs from the original franchise, as well as other features like revert, lip tricks, wall plant, and original multiplayer game modes, both online and for local couch play.
“The original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series is a big factor in the evolution of modern skateboarding tricks and inspiring many of the pro skaters you know and love today. I’m excited to help inspire a new generation of skateboarders and gamers - and existing fans - to grow the sport even further,” said Tony Hawk.
Fan-favorite modes like Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater are making a comeback in the remaster. However, at least one of them, Create-A-Park will include some new stuff like a solid editor that provides players with new ways of customization.
More importantly, players will be able to share parks online with friends and outfit skaters with customization options. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 let fans select their favorite skaters from the complete roster of original pro talent, including Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer, Chad Muska, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Kareem Campbell, Jamie Thomas, and Bob Burnquist.
