Ringtones are expensive...

I think that the ringtones that you buy now are really too expensive. I mean, who really wants to keep paying $2.50 for a short song on their phone? It sometimes just get's rediculos. If you can afford it, go ahead, more power to you. But most people cannot afford the ringtones, so they decide not to buy them.

Well some people with cheap mono phone (no offense) can make their own ringtones, but most people don't bother. Lots of people decide to buy ring tones just to look 'cool' but it usually ends up being a waste of money. I agree with you Moto

I enjoy the irony that you can buy the mp3 of a full song for $.99, but to download a short, lousy version of that same song will cost $2.50+.

Something smells fishy here.

Eh..couldn't you download a MP3 on computer, and convert to MP4, then put it on your phone?

Oh, sure you could. But that would be doing things the easy way. And then the phone companies wouldn't make any money off it that way. How could those rich corporate types feed their children? Or buy them yachts?

Do it for the kids, Flukeman.

That...doesn't work properly, flukeman. Some phones support MP3's now.

The short answer is, people are dumb enough to pay, so they keep trying to sell them.

I feel the same way I do not want to pay out $2.00 every time for a new sound on my phone. My sister loves to get new ring tones and stuff like that and her phone bill is really high up there.

I was tempted to get a ringtone and a wallpaper but then reality dawned on me and I was kind of like... "So I'm gonna spend $5.00 on a song that I'll try and pick up within seconds and a picture that I will only see briefly, once in a blue moon? Hmmmm.

I have purchased a few ringtones. I hear my cell phone ring pretty often I like to hear something that I like rather than just :ring ring:
