Angry Disaster!

Help! I am on this site because I accidently sat my phone in a pool of water. It wasn't there for long.... but long enough for the damage to be done. It isn't working!!
I have removed the battery etc and have tried drying it out in a warm place but in two days have found no improvement. One friend of mine put her phone through a complete wash-cycle and after a couple of days drying out it worked again, as good as knew. However, it doesn't appear that I am going to be that lucky. Can anybody out there advise me what else to try?
Cheers
Sheila.

Hi Neil, Thanks for getting back to me. The battery was fully charged when I had the unfortunate misshap. Now I don't know because my phone is dead, apart from the Key-pad lighting up when I switch it on!
Sheila.

Oh no, then it sounds like the phone has a short circuit some where or the screen has gone.

Two options:

#1 - Take to your nearest mobile phone dealer to see if they can have a look at it. Might be able to reapir it or replace any damaged components.

#2 - Buy another one.

Sorry I'm not much help here but thats the only options you seem to have.

Neil.

Cheers??????

Hi again Neil.
Got to agree with you. I think the screen is Kaput!. Not sure what action to take. Wrong time of year to spend loads of money on a phone. Yes, I could get a cheap one but don't really want to down grade. Having said That, I am not sure I would go with Motorola again. Seemingly they don't do as well recovering from water immersion as some other makes!
Many thinks for your input. it was much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Sheila
