$ 2,400 phone bill in Mexico
i have a verizon palm treo 650. took it to Acapulco ran up a $ 1,300 bill to the US on the mobile phone since Verizon has no service set up there and all calls were charged at roam rates. Room phone was $1,000. got a Vonage wifi to matbe solve problem and it can't make one AP connection out of the house. Think now I need Treo 700 and Skype. Does anyone who travels a lot have a solution other than carrying a lap top?????????

Holy crap. I had a $400 bill once and I thought that was insane. i cant imagine a bill taht high!
