Hello, everyone. I Googled into this forum while searching for possible solutions to my current cell/mobile phone dilemma. I don't use my phone much, but I like to have a working phone, which I currently do not. I own an Audiovox 8910 camera phone. Recently, I've been having trouble charging it. It may be an old battery, or it may be a faulty charging port, or maybe something else entirely. What happens is that when I connect the phone to the charger, it begins frantically turning on and off instead of charging. This happens in both the wall charger and the car charger. It's not consistent, but it's happening with increasing regularity, so much so now that I can't maintain a full charge on the phone. I was wondering if any forum members who've ever had this phone can share their experiences with it and give me advice on what to do next.
Right now, these are the options I'm considering: a) buy a new battery to see if that helps, b) take the phone in to a shop for examination and servicing, if not too expensive, c) buy a new phone--same model, d) buy a new phone--different model. Also, I'm really, really tempted to take a sledgehammer to the thing!!! (I'm with Virgin Mobile because I like their pay-as-you-go plan, but I have to say that I don't love their selection of crappy phones. However, I'm sticking with them for the time being because of their flexible and reasonably-priced calling plans. The last time I checked, the so-called pay-as-you-go and prepaid plans from other outfits were not quite as good for someone like me who doesn't use the phone much.)
Hope I haven't gone on too much complaining and detailing! Whatever, the case, it's nice to be here--seems like a friendly bunch of people from the posts I've sampled.
