Vista should start looking for the driver when you hook up the usb to the handset.

make sure the connection on the handset is set to data / usb or something similar.

Also download the suite from the enclosed disc that camew with the handset. If you have mislaid it or one was not included then visit SAMSUNG United States - Main to search for the suite and drivers.

I realy apreciate your help Lee, but I have Win XP and there are 9 options onthe handsets menu , but not data/usb or anything similar. The Dam phone did not include an enclosed disc, or a usb cable.(I bought 1 off ebay)

Sorry Sammy my initial reply was in connection to John's original posting who is running vista os.

John,
Looking around it seems other users have posted similar issues when trying a 3rd party data cable. It seems most around are for unlocking etc.

Looking at the specs of your fone more closer it seems it does not have a connectivity menu which normally holds bluetooth, data and usb modes.
Maybe that your handset will just not support what you want to do with it.

Try contacting Samsung direct to pose your question and maybe they can provide a suitable solution.

Good luck.
