iPhone sells 500,000 in its first weekend

The new Apple iPhone has been a huge hit. It has sold over 500,000 units in its first weekend in the US ALONE!

The iPhone is set to be released in the fourth quarter of this year in the UK and I for one can't wait to get my hands on one!

Yes the initial response was fantastic... thousands waiting outside the shops and everyone got one... none of the silly shortages. Typically well planned for the consumer.

Some did have issues tho actually connecting and activating as u have to 'turn it on' online when connected to the latest i tune programme !

The handset is rather large and wide but the interface is fantastic, its very responsive and full of specs. Its a bit bigger than the lg prada. The headfone jack has been designed to not allow you to use your own earbuds tho as its recessed.

It talked about that 02 are in the running for it, with carfone warehouse bidding as a provider, although they specialise in unlocked handsets and just marrying up the network sim card with it. Its strongly rumoured that the handset will be locked. It looks like its going to be reather expensive tho. The lower gig to be £250 and the higher to be £300, although its specualated at 1st the lower will start at £350 !

This handset was on e bay but then pulled by the administrators as it had not been released by then. Also anyone trying to import one early will be disappointed as it has to be activated by the american network at the moment and they are not available in the u.k.

I have a prada which will get me trained up for the touch screen and I cant wait untilk xmas 07 to get my hands on one !
