Are we TOO wired?

Pagers, cell phones, computers, Blackberries, PDA's... how did we ever communicate and survive before this age?

are we communicating more or less with all this technology - I'm thinking more, but in exchange we lose what little private time we have to ourselves. I don't mind being out of touch for a movie or during a plane flight because my boss can't reach me and demand more of my time.

your thoughts?

I honestly don't know how I survived without a cell phone and my computer. I can't remember life before I began utilizing technology. I think they make life easier, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.. but on the other hand, we take many more things for granted.

Technology is excellent, we just have to learn not to abuse it and not to take things for granted.

I always make sure that I have my cellphone, keys, and wallet before I leave the house.

We are definitely communicating more, but that communication is without the "human touch." So as we are breaking barriers, we are creating new ones.

but does it make us less human when we spend time yakking on the phone even sitting with other friends? It seems like we're better talkers than communicators, really...

I think as a society we communicate much better with the internet and cell phones. I can send pictures and letters to friends around the world with the click of a button. Much easier. Asa society we are more informed. I flip out without my cell and the internet, that kind of scares me.
