Movie Theaters
Hey,
How often does everyone here go out to the movie theaters to see a new movie? I used to go about 2-3 times a month but now I am only going about once a month or so. |

I go about once a month I'd say but thats because my local cinema offer crap films. I do however go to a local fim house where they show alternatives, out of the mainstream stuff. It's cool and cheap

I used to go about 50-60 times a year. I have always been a huge movie buff and loved going to the movies. I saw some bad movies because I would normally see at least a movie a week even if nothing was playing.
SInce I got my TiVo 7 years or so ago, I almost never go now. I usually have 10-12 movies I got off cable sitting on my TiVo to watch and I am probably 9 months behind the theaters at best, and I do not miss it. If I am lucky I go to 1 or 2 movies in a theater a year now. |

About five months ago DH and I were going about once every weekend. We have lots of different theater options here in Augusta, so we could hit a dollar theater, or the big ones, depending on what we wanted to see. But then our son was born in January, which has pretty much put a hiatus on the movie going. It's a good idea though, might have to spring for a babysitter this weekend after all.

Oh my, 50-60 times a year. I wish. This is going to sound bad, but the last movie I saw in theatre was Troy. I think that came out a couple of years ago. We generally dont go out to the movies because it is so expensive. We have a satellite and will just watch pay per views here. I would like to go see the Da Vinci code though.

I watch a movie maybe 1-2 times during the month, depending on my free time and available money. Yea, $10 to see a movie here in NY.

I rarely go to the movies now, it's way too costly, and most of the films being put out now are just rubbish. I wait until they come out on video, much cheaper that way

I rarely go, even though I truly enjoy movies. I usually wait until they come out on DVD and then rent or buy them. (Or, even better, borrow them from the public library!) I think the last one I saw in a theatre was Garden State, about a year and a half ago. Is that pathetic or what?!?

Every friday (given there is something new coming out). I love to be the first one to see the movie and brag to friends about it
