Now that's catchy.
I go with Sprint, and I haven't had any problems with them. In fact, after they merged with Nextel I noticed a big improvement with customer service issues. |

I've been wondering how I can check out what companies actually have coverage in the rural area where I am now. I know that some work the next mountain over, but don't work here. The only thing I know to do is poll friends and their coverages, ask them for a drink or dinner and the bring their cell phones to see!

There has to be some online resource which tells you were your coverage could be, or maybe you should just call various providers and ask them if they provide service in your area.

I actually tried phoning providers, but they lie! I'm in an area where there have been numerous protests about cell phone towers ...as many think it would screw up the bucolic looks. It's an almost mountainous area where one mountain top can get something like Verizon and the next one can't due to lack of towers. So, if you phone Verizon and they look at their grid, they will say you can get service, but you really can't. It takes trying to use a phone where you will want to use it to work it out.

I am using cingular now and have used just about everyone else. Cingular's network has been very good to me.

Good point that they lie. My grandma bought a cell phone with the distinct purpose of using it while on vacation in Hawaii, then when she got there it didn't work like they said it would. She was pretty darn mad.

She is in the UK. if you want excellent coverage go for vodafone, if you want good cus service go for o2 [+0870/0845 calls inc in inclusive mins i like it]. If you want the latest handsets free go to orange [but they are ripoffs so be careful not to sign up for their free mms/video calls etc u can never sign off them] 3 is useless for voice calls good if u use only texts. t mobile i hav'nt used.
