USA to Canada

I will be going to the USA soon but will need to use my cell phone to ring Canada for on average ten hours per day. Does anyone know of any good networks that will give me a cheap deal?

Also are there any networks that cover both Canada and the USA?

How long will you need the phone for? I think most providers in the US treat calls to Canada as domestic long distance, but you'll need to verify that with each provider.

If you don't need to use the phone for very long, maybe a pay as you go provider is the way to go.

I've done it before for four weeks averaging 10-12 hours a day and I was on a $0.36 a minute deal, my total bill was about £2,000. The US doesn't treat Canada as a domestic.

I just double checked Cingular's website and the best you can really do with them is about $0.19/minute.

What kind of connection do you need and where will you be staying? Is there any chance you could use a cell to VOIP connection:
