Hi,
my fiance has a Samsung D500 on O2 online pay and go tariff (for about a month). I am also on the same O2 tariff. Since yesterday 17/10/06 she hasn't been able to receive any messages from any numbers on the O2 network(can still send them though and other networks are fine). O2 aren't sure what is happening (but are passing it to an engineer)....She transferred her sim to an old motorola phone later and a message arrived. Any ideas anyone or have you experienced this? It's rather baffling. Have tried things like; switching network on phone, checking blocked number list, etc Thanks in anticipation. Ady |

Has she ever been able to receive on that phone? It sounds like a phone-specific issue. My husband developed that problem with a Nokia. His phone was falling apart so we ended up replacing it.

Yes, it was fine for months on Vodafone. Even ok for 1 month with her actually using an O2 sim card as well. Hoping to hear back from O2 today, but we seem to think that the phone has developed a fault - typical, I was going to have it when she buys a new pink one!!
Thanks for your reply - I will post any findings here, for information. Ady |

Sorry for the delay in getting back. Despite myself and O2 asking the question and getting a firm "no" in response, it appears that my number had been placed on a "blocked number" list...although at number 9, so wasn't spotted on the screen.
So nothing technical wrong with the phone....O2 seemed quite glad when they heard - seems it had a few people baffled. At least I get a free phone now. As for the missus - she said she was having a blonde moment.... her words not mine (and she is naturally a blonde!!!) Edit: As for the other o2 numbers being blocked - not quite sure, but the engineer seems to think it may have been down to the same reason, but got messed up a little.
