High Speed Wireless

Anyone out there using any of the high speed wireless opportunities out there? EDVO or something like that? Want to be able to hook it into my laptop.

I don't, but I would certainly love to. I hope somebody who does use this will post and let us know all about it.

I think the routers are a little overpriced at this point. The cheapest one I could find was $300 and I thought it was iffy. Most run from $500-1000 from what I could find. I'm waiting a bit.

Yeah, that's a little expensive. It would be convenient, but I don't think I'm going to shell out $1000 for something like that.

That was my feeling. YOu gotta draw the line with some of this stuff until the prices are more reasonable ..else you're communications poor lol.

Hmm....maybe I'm a bit off the mark here, but you can get a Lynksys wireless router for about $80.

Unless we're talking about some other kind of router. And if that's the case and the prices are what you metion, then yeah vicki2, I'd wait until the prices are more reasonable too.

Yes, the Linksys is a good wireless router ...here it's about $120 ..I just bought one for a friend and installed it, but the EDVO is a little different and more expensive. sorry for the confusion.

I'll sure get something like this when the prices go down, which I'm sure they will as technology advances.

I use wireless for my laptop, but don't use any internet functions on my phone - unless you count texting.
