"freezing" contract??
i've come to the end of my contract and i haven't renewed it and i'm going travelling for about 3 months soon. i was wondering if anyone knows if i can "freeze" the contract so i don't have to pay while i'm away, but i dont want to have to cancel the contract cos i want to keep the same number. any suggestions??

I honestly don't know how tricky that might be. Many of the providers now have systems where you can use your mobile wherever you are ...like Vodaphone's 'passport' service ...so they might make it hard to freeze an account.

As far as I know, once your contract runs out you are basically on a month to month plan, meaning you can cancel whenever you want to, but they'll keep giving you service and taking your money as long as you like. I would avoid signing any new contracts though.

Who is your network? Have you tried ringing them to find out if they offer a service like this?
