How do I get Stand-Alone Data Contract

After considering options for mobile email, I decided I wanted to get a Nokia E61, and then use the Blackberry Connect service to get my work and personal emails. I won't be making any voice calls on the device. However, whenever I try to get this, the network provider seems insistent on selling me a voice tariff at around £0 per month, plus the data on top.

How can I get just data? I won't use Vodafone, as I have heard they have big problems with the E61. I also don't want 3 - I'm having enough trouble with my personal cellphone on 3! I'd prefer O2 but can't seem to get what I want from them.

Any advice please?

I don't know. I've never heard of anyone getting data only service through a phone provider. Please let us know if you do get anywhere.

I'd check out T-Mobile's 'web n walk' plan. That one is about 7.50 a month the last I heard, and might be the best deal.
