Calling an international mobile from the US

Does anyone know what the dialing codes are to call a mobile in Argentina from the US? I know that the dialing codes are different when calling a landline in Argentina and a mobile. I've looked all over the web but the dailing codes I've come across don't seem to work. I'd appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks all!

Thumbs up

Thanks for that, I know that I have to dial 011 54 to call both landlines and mobiles in Argentina from the US. But I know that the dialing codes for landlines and mobiles after the country code are different. Does anyone know what comes after dialing 011 54 when trying to call a mobile in Argentina? Thanks much. The help is working so far.

The way it works in the UK for example is:

Mobile Phone Number: 0771234678
Extension: +44

Then you would dial +44771234678

So I suppose for mobiles in Argentina you would dial:

+54771234678

See if that works.

Red face

Thanks a lot Karl! I'm going to try that as soon as my family in Argentina gets up. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have to agree, the best route to go is using Skype or another online service. I use Lingo and get free calls to canada/US and Western Europe. Call quality could be better but it's not too bad for the price - 23. a month.

Yeah there are lots of computer programs you can use to call people internationally for a very low fee. GTalk is Google talk.
