Nextel / Sprint better or worse since the merger?

I didn't have experiences with both of the companies individually, but I've known people with both. My nephew had Sprint for awhile and he didn't seem very happy with it. He seemed to be constantly on the phone to customer service because of billing issues. One of my friends had nextel, and she had connection problems from inside of her house. The phone was great everywhere except in her home. I just wonder if the service is any better or worse since these two merged.

We had Sprint a long time ago, before the merger, and never had any problems with it.

The one thing I noticed is that since the merger they have basically stopped advertising. While commercials would be common, I haven't seen any in ages.

Your right Hannah, I havent seen much of a media blitz for them. Although I live in a metropolitan area and it seems that they have a corner stand with a customer rep about every 2 miles or so.

I haven't seen much of a change, all i know is that they need to step it up and catch up to Verizon and Cingular or they will be in the dust.

I think overall its better, my friend said that Sprints service has seemed to go up in terms of reliability.
