Be released from the chains of your carrier's browser

If you are like me, then at some point you have been tempted to throw your phone out the window while dealing with getting on the net, or finding pages that work well with your networks internet browser. The best workaround I have found for this is a free java application called the Opera Mini-Browser. Instead of it being used automatically like the browser that comes with your phone, it instead sits amongst your games and other applications.

The key difference with Opera is that you no longer need phone websites. Even standard sites that your phone can pick up on the web tend to look funny, but opera is an actual PC quality browser that will give you the exact same page as it would be displayed on your PC. Standard net rates still apply, but I think personally Opera is a must have for anyone spending time on the net with their phone.

That's pretty neat stuff - I wonder if it will work on my Treo 600? Everything seems to be Nokia-biased these days...

Yes, sometimes it is hard to get a phone with another brand, everything seems to get to the features of Nokia as if Nokia is the only phone existing but don't get me wrong, I am an avid fan of Nokia It is really user friendly.

Yeah, that looks cool. I don't like Opera as a regular browser, but it seems to be pretty good for this!

Then again I don't like Java either, but I shouldn't be picky
