Unheard of Networks

I live in a tiny rural town on the plains of Colorado. We have 2 network options that no one else has heard of: Cell 1, and Viero. Does anyone else have access to odd little networks that don't get national advertising time?

I am in Canada, and as far as I know, there are no small town networks available. Just the nationwide networks. How do their plans and rates compare to nationwide networks throughout the US?

in the uk there just seems to be the standard ones, although some supermarkets are starting to provide networks.

The rates are expensive and the networks are tiny. My husband can't use his phone outside of a 5 miles radius of our town.

Oh jeez, well that is no good then. Hopefully one of the national providers will put a tower closer to your area to offer service. That is crazy u can't go more than 5 miles away. Doesnt make much sense to have a phone if u cant use it when u want to.

Well you're right about them being unheard of, but I don't have anything like that where I live.

I don't have any unheard of companies around here. If I did, I wouldn't invest in them. They might run away with my money

Yeah you can't go by looks nowadays, lol. Would you buy a nice looking phone that had poor reception, or a decent phone which had perfect reception?
