I just found out today that Cingular is adding minutes to my calls. For instance I had a phone call that was 4:46 seconds long and they charged me 6 minutes. After seeing that I started to go through my call log, since I have the Cingular Online Account to automatically view my minutes, and come to find out they had charged me 6 extra minutes here and there, just this morning. Who knows over the year that I have had it how many times they have done this. Ended up calling Cingular, as far as I see it they bribed me with 1,000 Rollover minutes, 200 Bonus minutes a month and a $88 credit. What sucks most is there is nothing else they could do about it, not even ASSURE me that it wasn't going to happen anymore. SO ALL THOSE OUT THERE WITH CINGULAR WATCH YOUR MINUTES THEY ARE PROBABLY STICKING IT TO YOU. THEY WERE ME AND IT SURE SEEMS LIKE THEY KNEW IT TO ME.

Wow. That is really shocking, even though it's just a minute or two here and there. They're a reputable company, so who in the world would expect it of them?!? They probably just thought they'd never get caught. I mean, I've NEVER checked the length of my calls. (And frankly, I still won't because I have thousands of rollover minutes saved up. But, still....) Way to go finding that "error" and calling them on it!

^I'm the same way. I never think about checking the minutes on my calls. I will go check when I'm bored but I don't really pay much attention at all. I've always liked Cingular, never thought of them doing something like that.
Sorry that happened to you, I'll definitely be watching out. Thanks for the heads up. |
