Vonage

I am curious if anyone has any experience with Vonage? I am considering switching my land lines over to Vonage, and have a go at that. The plan seems very affordable, and it seems to work out well for my family and I.

So I hope that someone out there has something to say or recommend to me. I'm not sure if I will be willing to make a commitment if I don't hear some personal feedback. None of my friends have any experiences with them, so its difficult to find someone with some sort of honest testimonial.

Is Vonage like cable? I have heard that they have great rates! So is it kind of like Roadrunner except you can run your phone into the same line? I am always looking for ways to save money without the inconvenience.

What country is Vonage in? I've never heard of it, but by the sounds of it it may be something I want to look into!

I know it's in the States, but since it's an internet phone system, I think it could be international. It should be anyway.

I've never heard of it either. I'm in NY. It's not a UK system?

More Vonage Changes at The Top

By Michael Hickins

Voice over IP company Vonage announced that the interim tag has been removed from Michael Tribolet's position as president of Vonage America. Tribolet had been acting president since January 2006.
This move is no surprise, as the Holmdel, N.J.-based company overhauls its executive team in preparation for its IPO. Vonage founder and chairman Jeffrey Citron yielded the CEO title to Mike Snyder in February.
"Michael has more than 15 years experience in multi-national operations management, and I am excited that he will be assuming the permanent role as president of Vonage America," Vonage CEO Mike Snyder said in a statement.
As president of Vonage America, Michael Tribolet will be responsible for marketing, which the company said it would continue throwing huge amounts of dollars at.
Vonage would not comment on whether these changes reflect a change in strategy or if further changes at the executive level are forthcoming. The announcement noted that Tribolet will also have responsibility over "sales, customer care and a variety of operations functions."

I have never used them but I know a few people who have and they are very happy with their service and what they can do. I would say you should make the switch.

Their ads irritate me. That's all I'm saying. I know nothing of their service but their ads are like painful annoying agony.

Vonage is great for people who have loved ones deployed overseas.

the phone requires you to have the internet with you as i understand. Could make for serious issues if tahts the case. Not really a cell replacement, but a home phone one.

Can you use Vonage for cell service or is it only for replacing your land line? I'm really unclear on this. duh=me
