HELP! Cancelling an Orange UK contract in the 14 day period

Hi,

I need some urgent help.

I recently took out a contract through phones 4 u with Orange. I'm not happy with the phone (LG Viewty) as it hold little charge and I find it inferior to my old BB Pearl.

I'm still within the 14 day cooling off period as stated in my contract, but need to know how to go about sorting this out?

I am happy to stay with Orange, but I want the phone changed to a blackerry and with Data package added onto the tariff.

I've put the SIM card into the phone and hvae been using it for a few days, i understand that I will have to pay any line rental or charges accrued in this time, but will they allow me to cancel the contract if I have used the phone.

Please help, I can't stand this phone much longer!!!

Thanks in advance,

kath

The cooling off period is just as it says.

You will need to return the fone with its box and contents.
Any airetime used will have to be paid for too.

Get into the shop asap and you may have to put it in writing. If so make sure you send it registered post.

Changing the contract is not hard but they might close down your current contract and open up a new one.

I used to be a sales manager for 2 years at phones4u. Give me a call if you have a problem. 07778412422.
I work for a corporate firm now and we deal with blackberrys if you are intersted. DONT LET THEM CON YOU - cos thats what they do!!! I know I used to work there and got fed up.
