Credit Needed to recieve international calls?
Hi there wonder if anyone can help. I'm trying to contact my girlfriend who is currently in France. She is using an o2 UK sim card. I know that she has just recently ran out of credit. Will this prevent her from recieving calls from me in the UK as anytime I call it just says "it has not been possible to connect your call please try again later". I have tried phoning from my o2 UK sim card and also my landline.

Last time I was away I'm sure I was charged to recieve calls, it may still be the case.

Yes this is correct she will need credit to recieve a call, the way it works is:
You, being in the uk will pay for the call from your mobile to the edge of England (you're normal charges) and your girlfriend will pay for the call from the border of france to her mobile You can buy a pre-pay sim called SIM4TRAVEL which means you can recieve calls FREE OF CHARGE and makes calls for about 27p per minute Tom |
