Can I change my number? I'm still under contract and I was wondering if I can get my number changed or do I have to wait until I'm out of my contract. I keep getting this irritating wrong number and I want a different number. |
I believe you can request a number change. I'm sure it varies from contract to contract however. It also does take a couple days for it to take effect and fully change over. |
I think that it depends on the company that you are with. My company does not allow it, but my friends company does. I think that you need to pay a service fee. |
Yes, I know with my company I can change my number but it will cost me $10 to do so. Most companies seem to go this route, I didn't know any refused number changes! |
Yeah you can get your number changed - but it will cost you a nominal fee and when I did it I had no phone at all for a week - my one number was disconnected and didnt get my new number untill a week later! |
Yes you can request a number change and you can still keep your same number if you want to switch services. To many prank calls on that number eh? |
I think so, and if you said that you were being constantly harrased on that number im sure they would have to change it. |

Of course you can change your number - just ring up your provider. They will charge you but its not much :) |
You werent allowed to move #'s in the USA till about 2 years ago. So rediculous. The USA is at least 5 years behind the rest of the world in Cell Phone Tarriff rates...texts are about 20-50 cents last I checked... |
I thought you had to change the sim card for it to change number? Or doesn't this apply to contract phones? |

It doesn't matter what type of phone it is, the provider can change your number for you if you really need it done, they can also transfer all your contacts over to the new number :) |
Yes, there might be a small fee for the changing of numbers but i think they are required to allow you to do this according to law. |
I have never tried it but I guess it should be very much possible. |
