Question Anyone know if I can defer/suspend my Orange monthly contract?

Hi,

I will be in Australia for a year, I have a 2 year contract with Orange, which will be around 10 months in when I fly out. I obviously will not be using this for a year in Australia, as it will be far too expensive.

Does anybody know if I am allowed to stop paying the contract for 12 months resume the contract upon my return?

Any comments are appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

Best thing is to speak directly to your network.

I seem to think you wont be able to do so as the contract is set up to run continously until the expiry date.

With Orange you can ask for a temp disconnection for a maximum of up to 6 months.

Yeah DNA pro is right I do believe Orange will allow a 6 month temporary disconnection. Your best bet like said is to call your network up and speak directly to them and explain your circumstances. I am pretty sure they would rather look to keep a customer.

Hi Ozandy,

The above posts are correct. We will allow you to suspend your contract for 3-6 months only.
