What is a Puk code? Never heard of that before. Is it some way to set up your phone?

The PUK code: an emergency needn't turn into a crisis

To protect you in the event of theft, the SIM card is immediately locked if someone keys in three different incorrect PIN codes in succession. This also applies if you absent-mindedly enter an incorrect PIN code three times in a row. The message "PIN locked" will appear on the screen. In this event, you can fall back on the PUK code, which comprises eight digits. Enter this code in order to unlock your mobile phone, and then follow the instructions on the screen. Should a person give an incorrect PUK code ten times in a row, the card will be irrevocably cancelled.

I found this, I don't think anyone on this forum can help you with it, you'll have to contact your network.

I hope it's not as hard to get as a PAC code - took Vodafone 3 weeks to release one for me. I'm about to ask one from Orange - wish me luck...

I'd imagine that since it basically just acts as a PIN number it wouldn't be too hard to get one. That's really strange that they seem so tough to get.

This happened to me once. I eventually resolved the situtaion by going to my local phone shop and they sorted it out for me. Try that!

PUK - PIN unlock code

If you have enabled the PIN code on your mobile phone and if you enter it wrong thrice, the phone locks itself which can only be unlocked with the help of your Network Carrier who provide you with a PUK to be entered instead of your PIN.
