T-Mobile - Flex T

Has anyone tried the new FlexT system by T-mobile?

It allows you to pay £x but use £xx of services - and you can use more text one month and less phone call minutes or vice-versa the next month as long as you don't go over your allowance of £xx, if you get what I mean.

But it almost sounds to good to be true.

Has anyone got any experience of this system?

Nope, haven't heard of it, i don't like mobile t but i will look into this to see if its worthwhile.

It does actually sound like a good plan. Maybe the phone companys are actually just starting to listen to their customers now and giving them what we want. All we need is it to be cheaper now

I've never heard of Flex T, but it sounds like every network is created a "Pay as you go" plan nowadays.

Side comment: Why do people refer to T-Mobile as "Mobile-T". Prior to joining this forum, I've never heard or seen T-Mobile referred to as Mobile-T.

I have heard of Adobe Flex, and Flex appliactions, but not of Flex T. Sounds like T-Mobiles variation of the "fair and flexible" plan from Cingular. I like the idea though, of being able to shift minutes for more text message and vice versa, especially since texting has become the means for which I keep in touch instead of calling.

Guess we'll have to wait and see since only one of us, the person who started htis post, nullensc, is the only one who has heard of it so far.

I saw it advertised recently so had a look on their site. Basically the idea is that you pay them say £15 per month (including VAT) BUT you get £34 worth of service. This includes phone calls, text messages and MMS but sadly not data downloads from the Net + email.

What is VAT and MMS?

VAT is the UK sales tax of 17.5% - and MMS are multi-media message services - i.e. the ability of sending pictures and video to another MMS enabled phone.
