Unauthorised change to corporate Vodafone contract terms

Hi Everone

We recently moved from Vodafone to T-Mobile at the end of a two year Vodafone contract, that ran from May 2007 to May 2009. We had 25 mobile numbers on the contract and a £5000 hardware fund.

During the two year period we used the hardware fund as needed to replace lost phones etc, as would anyone, but at the end of the 2 years we were told that because we had bought new phones, this reset the contract term to two years from the date that the new phone was assigned to one of the sims, so we are now expected to pay a buyout fee.

We were never told of any change to the contract term, either at the start of the contract or at any time during the term.

I'm assuming that because we were never informed about any changes and we never agreed to any changes to the length of the contract that the original term is legally binding, but is that the case?

Thanks for any help in this.

Stratt

You need to dig out the initial contact and go over this and the small print to highlight if this clause is applicable.

Even if this cluase was not mentioned to you when you signed the contract , you also signed up to the terms too.
