Thumbs down vodafone changes text plans from Sept 1st

Hi,
I took out a contract with vodafone in may 05, renewed in may 06 for 18 months because I was happy with my price plan (200 talk 250 text, with photos being 3 mms and video being 5 mms. £25) - ideal for me. Then a few days ago they texted to say this would change, they are taking long texts, picture and video messaging out and charging what I imagine to be pay as you go rates. I feel totally ripped off - can't leave - can't even drop to the next on line contract to compensate for charges - so stuck with contract and PAYG charges until Oct 07. Any one else feel angry - or any ideas. So so so annoyed

Hi
Someone told me that an idea is to say that you have lost your job and can no longer afford to pay the contract. I have no experience of this though.

Unhappy

Hi,
I think I have given in trying now. Another mobile company rang because they thought I was at the end of my contract, I told them about it and they said the only way to get out of it was for someone to tell them I was dead !
Thanks for the idea though.
Debbie
