Network unlock codes required

I gave my mobile (Samsung SGH-Z400V) to my five year old son to keep him happy for a little while, I removed the sim thinking that no harm could be done!! How wrong I was!! The phone displays "Phone Freeze, sim unavailable, contact service provider" Anyone got the codes?? I want to use other networks anyway, its, rather it was locked to Voda, now its just locked full stop!! Please help. If anyone can tell me how to change com ports to usb that would help me as well. The software ive got to unlock phone all require com port access and I only have usb on my laptop. Thanks for any help that you can give me..

Once I was googling , I found some sites that give instructions about some technical problems, unlocking and the like for phones having similar problems. Suggest you try to google it out.

i think its going to need to specilist help. google says u got to take it to the guys who unlock it.

Unlocking codes are available through the network and are normally given after an admin fee is paid and the contract is up or the subsidy recouped on a PAYG handset which is normally 3 months.

Their are many codes available to key into your handset which show the lifetime meter, IMEI number and what version of firmware you have to name a few.

It is possible your darling little son has accidently opened something !!

You should really go through vodafone for assistance which might involve sending it away for a firmware flash to return it to its normal settings.

Their are many sites offering unlock codes and some market traders claim to do this for a nominal fee. Beware of problems by them frying the handsets which include handset freeze and signal drop, and a reluctance to actually work on the network it was intended for. Although the warranty will also be invalidated.

if these codes dont work you will have to pay someone for the right codes or you can buy the software and do it yourself.
