ASPIDER Builds Executive team, Mooijman CEO, Carrera to drive M&A

ASPIDER strengthens management team and adds execs from recent merger

Netherlands and Boston - Dec 16, 2014 – ASPIDER, a leading provider of branded MVNE mobile IaaS services for operators, OEMs and brands, announced changes in the group executive team including the addition of two staff from the recent merger with Next Gen Innovation. These changes broaden the strength of the execs and prepare the company for further global growth.

Luis Carrera, the outgoing CEO, becomes head of M&A activities. Patrick Meijer, the outgoing Chief Commercial Officer will become VP Corporate Development. Patrick and Luis will now focus on further M&A, funding and strategic initiatives. Jan Mooijman takes over the role of CEO having spent 3 years as the CIO and head of technology. Tony Craven becomes the new CIO and will run development and the technical operations departments. Chris Woodhams takes over sales as Chief Commercial Officer. Chris and Tony join the team as part of the recent merger with Next Gen Innovation. Also as part of the changes, David Traynor moves from his 7-year position as US CEO to drive the overall Marketing functions as CMO.

Luis Carrera commented “We have a broad based of experienced execs and we are setting the foundation for our 5 year growth. We see an increasing demand for roll-up in this sector and strengthening our executive team is a critical aspect to our success.” Jan Mooijman added “The merger with Next Gen Innovation helps us accelerate innovation in our technology, but we are also using this to drive innovation in our culture and thinking. “We are excited about the cross fertilization of technologies and management to maximize benefits for ourselves, and of course, for our clients”.

Earlier this year ASPIDER began a series of mergers to increase focus on specific sectors including transactions with Wyless and Next Gen Innovation. ASPIDER has benefited from improved economies of scale and better alignment to client needs. ASPIDER plans to keep all of the current facilities around the world as part of their international growth in Mobile Services.
