Internet through mobile
Did you ever think that this could be possible.
Now, we can connect our home computer or laptop through mobile and even surf the net from mobile itself. I have also seen some large screen mobiles which almost look like mini computer, how cool is that? I am just not able to think whats coming more? Heh! |

It was obviously going to happen at some point, since its obvious that you can transmit data through the air

Maybe a world wide virus that gets into your cell phone via the internet and randomly calls long distance internationally when you are asleep and away from your cell phone?..Hey, just trying to think outside the box here... |

Ack - Dark Knight, remind me to lock up my mobile and my computer when you're around! That's dangerous thinking.
We do have a tendency to look at the bright side when we ask 'what WILL they think of next?' -- good thing we have folks like you around to point out the cloud to the silver lining |

If we can do phone calls from a cell, ofcource an internet connection can be through it. Dumb mayank. I just look at positive and brighter sides and I can believe it! Well, I am still making future plans, LOL |

Why would you surf the net through your mobile when you can use your labtop? Heck i would buy a wireless router to save the trouble. |

I'm able to connent to the internet through my phone, but it costs me a dollar for a certain amount of time of the web. And I have a small screen so it isnt really worth it for me

The only 'connecting' I do from my phone is to upload pics from it so that I can get at them. Now THERE is an accessory that I WOULD buy.. a usb cable and interface to upload pics directly to my pc and avoid the middle step.

I dont like the current mobile phone 'internet' Its usually crappy little pages - although news sites are quite good. I would like to see it developed further allowing you to surf normal websites - although as previously mentioned you are leaving your phone open to all sorts of viruses.

A while back, I heard about the first cell phone virus starting to go around. I think it was transmitted via bluetooth.
I think as technology advances, it will be more integration than innovation. I'm sure there are ideas we haven't thought of, uses of cell phones and such. However I think as time passes, it will be more a matter of combining our various gadgets. Already, PDAs and cell phones are merging. And mp3 players, and cameras, and video players, and instant messengers, and video game consoles, and even articles of clothing like gloves and sunglasses. My guess is that in twenty or thirty years, there will just be one piece of technology. It will meet all a person's techno needs. That will be an interesting day. Trust your techno lust.

I agree on the virus front ...we tend to jump into these new things and then pay a huge price when a virus hits. It's all that sorting out later I hate!

I don't know where your locations are but here in the Philippines, you can easily access the internet in the cellphone as long as the cellphone has the capability to surf internet. I even download logos, wallpapers, games and other stuffs for my cellphone from the GPRS. Checking and sending email can be done also here using your cellphone. Anyway, our country wouldn't be called "Texting Capital of the World" for nothing if it doesn't have services like the internet.
