Cool Locked fones

Their are several types of blocked fone.

1 is the handset security that is designed to stop other sims being put in the handset and is set by a default code in the instruction book or set by the original use. This can be turned off by entering these codes or can be unset by a firmware flash which is available thro the carfone warehouse.

2 is a code that can only be supplied by the network which is there to stop people using another networks sim in the fone. you have to be a customer of the network and expect to pay an admin fee for the unlock code. This is normally after the initial contract is up or the subsidy recouped on a prepay fone which is normally 3 months.

3 is an IMEI block which will have been applied by the network. This type of block is only applied when a fone has been lost or stolen and reported by the original owner or if the fone is part of a fraud inverstigation. ie the fone has been taken on as a contract and then the person disappears. This cannot be removed by anyone apart from the network. even tho money has been paid for the fone is actually belongs to the network. If you are victim to this then report it to e bay and papypal and start a dispute straightaway. Unfortunatly it is becomming only too regular with this type of issue.

Hope this helps

If your Samsung 500i has been barred by the network provider after a reported stolen or lost device, It cannot be unbarred. Only the network provider can unbar it.
If the Samsung 500i has just a network lock, It can be easily unlocked by just entering it's unique unlock code. You can get the unlock code for a Samsung 500i from www.SimpleUnlocking.com at affordable cost with easy unlocking guide. Good luck.
