How many phones did you want/need?

Truthfully, how many phones have you actually gone through? And, with each one, did you actually NEED the new phone...or did you WANT that new phone?

Myself, I have been through 3 phones. I wanted each new one

I'm still on my first phone, and it was definately a "need" basis. Unless you want to count in-home phones, but those aren't nearly as interesting to talk about as cell phones.

I've gone through five so far. Everytime I got a new phone it was because I had destroyed my old one or lost it, or a combination of the two.

I've gone through 8 phones because I'd either lose them or they would develop an issue that was incurable.

I'd like two phones in service, but unfortunately, I can't handle that at the moment.

Ive had 3 phones - every time I have gotten a new one is due to my current phone not fulfilling my needs.

hmmm..imagine that...We once manage to live rather nicely without cell phones at all...and now 3 generations of phones come and go and we need better?... ...Good thing the phone companies think along the same lines...I can hear them thinking..."hmmm, what new bells and whistles can we add to next yers model?"

LOL well I guess thats true. ALthough the world is changing around us and depending on your job you do need your phone to perform certain functions - which means the need to update your phone every now and then

Gone through...zero
Want: two. The fourth and eighth best phones in the world. But they cost so much that you can get financing for them.
