confused - too many phones to choose from!

My brain is about to go bang! I want a new phone. I want a pay as you go, decent camera, bluetooth. Not bothered about games ringtones etc. Needs to be able to cope with being dropped occasionally too!

Also what does VGA stand for regarding the camera - can't seem to find it anywhere?

Finally(!) is there a must have feature to enable photos to be uploaded onto a computer or do they all have this ability?

Many thanks

Most of the major networks have something to suit what you're looking for. The best idea may be to call around and see what they can suggest for you. Each network provider has slightly different perks, and slightly different contracts or prepaid arrangements.

Yes, shop around but also do a little research online. There are sites that will compare services and phones and I've found those pretty helpful.

I'm going to say call your providers and tell them exactly what you just told us. They know which phones deal with getting dropped and which ones don't.

I also want to offer a piece of advice: If you drop it, don't lie. They can see right through it and all too often are happy to do the bare minimum for you if you lie. Just admit you dropped it and chances are far better that they'll want to help you out.

Cool

VGA camera is the bog standard issue.

If your wanting a good results on your pictures etc then go for 1million pixels mininum.

Nokia fones seem to brush off the odd dropping of the handset.

Thanks for all the advice - much appreciated - I'll carry on going through the websites and mags. Are there any phones you advise to avoid?!

Thanks again!

Cool

All motorola as their menu systems are totally rubbish.

It really depends on what your using it for ontop of textx and calls.

Most Nokia's are stable and sturdy and the limited 2 yr warranty is outstanding.

Im not keen on samsungs as they tend to play whistles and bells on every keystroke and they dont have profile menus and after a while the slide style handsets seem to fail after a while to a blank screen ?

Thanks again, don't want any fancy stuff etc and hate phones that beep everytime you press a key! Have a basic Nokia at the moment that has been good so am tempted to go with them again. Mostly use for texting, occasional call, use the calendar and calculator and looking to use the camera too on my new one. Partner has told me I need bluetooth - but think that means 'he' wants to play with the bluetooth!

Thanks!
