I have only done one and it was one of my first phones. I really do not know what happens to the but I hope it is for a good cause.

The thought has never crossed my mind. I throw them away if they're destroyed or sell them to someone.

My old ones have gone to the same place my old computer went ...to special boxes at the town garbage dump where they take them and recycle them. Makes one feel slightly more noble.

The cell phone carrier has a "Recycle Your phone" box. It takes your old phone and gives it to someone who could not afford one...or to non-profits etc.

I've had 6 phones, and I didn't recycle. They're still lying around my house though. Thinking of putting them in the recycle boxes.

I did recycle my old phone, since I do hope it would bring some joy to somebody's life. Gave it to the salvation army though, not an official phone recycling place.

They have recycling stuff at Best Buy. You put them in those prepaid envelopes and send them in.

If you can afford to just give it away I think its a ncie idea, it helps someone out who might not otherwise.

I hadn't heard of this before, but it sounds lovely. What a nice thing to do.
