How old were you when you got your first cell phone?

I was an adult and had the funds to pay for it myself before I ever got a cell phone. But, I know that most people buy phones for their teenagers now. How old were you when you got your first cell phone?

I was 18. There were I think two of us in my grad class of two years ago who graduated without cell phones. Everyone else earned money for theirs or had their parents pay for them.

I think I was 19 or 20 at the time. I was going to college when I got one. I didn't even breakdown and buy one. My husband (boyfriend at the time) bought it for me for my birthday. Before then I just didn't have a need for one.

I was 16. In fact, I got it for my 16th birthday. That was a few phones ago. I think 16 is a good age to get one, it's right when you start driving and dating, you really need a phone.

My company forced me to get one, so they could keep taps on me, I was in no rush...then I realized that most pay phones really don't work and more...and slowly, very, very slowly, I saw the light...

i was 14. my mom just bought a phone and said here. lol. i didnt even want a cell phone back then.

I was a married adult before I ever had a cellphone. My parents weren't in favor of kids with phones. In fact, I don't even think they got cellphones until after I did. They're technologically impaired.

I must have been around 13 at the time. Over here I don't really know anyone (including peoples children) who DON'T have a phone.

I was old enough to run up a sizeable phone bill and have it taken away from me. Old enough did not mean mature enough.
