no no no no no no no :-(

I think I broke my phone yesterday... I was walking along and dropped my phone. It landed on the corner of the sidewalk, and so I turned it off and on again. It worked fine, but this morning I haven't been able to get it to turn on... I'm going to the shop later, but I thought I'd vent.

That's a tough break! Its strange how it turned on yesterday but didn't today. I hope it can get fixed easily enough and is not seriously broken.
Can cell phones usually get fixed easily?

ow, ow, ow... good reason to go shopping, says I!

I think they make the phones delicate in order to make them break easily so that you HAVE to go buy more phones... it's a racket!

It seems the older phones were tougher than the newer ones. Planned obsolescence at its finest, I guess.

Was the phone expensive? What model is it? Do you have insurance?

I hope it's a minor error that can be easily fixed.

My boyfriend's good friend once dropped his phone, accidentally, from a fifth floor balcony and it smashed. Surprisingly, he put it back together and it was fine. Ridiculous.

I agree when you said that the oldest types of phones are the toughest. I still have my Nokia 5110 with me and it still functions better than the newer phones. In fact, it has been dropped many times but still, I never had a major repair problem with it every since. That is why I am still keeping it and would rather keep it for good.

it's a never-ending cycle - you buy, you break, you buy again - cost more to fix than to buy a new one, so...

The worst thing I ever did to a phone was put it in the washing machine and the dryer.

The result of that were not good, not good at all.

My friend got pissed off because his ex-g/f called him 29 times one night... so he opens up the window of his 3rd floor apt in NYC and chucked it.

Noooo more phone LOL.

He says he still finds bits and pieces of it outside, from time to time (either that or people commonly kamikaze them out the windows
