I personally wouldn't do it. If you don't have the patience for being screwed over, it may not be worth the effort. If you are just doing it for the experience then I say go for it. It takes experience to really learn how to succesfully buy on E-Bay.

Good point, Triumph. I personally wouldn't do it either, but I generally only buy cheaper stuff (like clothes) on E-bay.

I guess buying a second hand phone on eBay would be ok but I am not sure I am going to take the risk. I once bought a digicam but since it is brand new, I wasn't afraid.

The main thing to check is that you are buying a phone and not a link as i have seen many people bid hundreds on a link as they have not read the item carefully, i have bought at least 30 phones off ebay and sold several as well and never had any trouble

I've not bought a phone on EBay but my Orange system came from a vendor there. It was when I first bought a tri-band phone so that I could have something to use when I was in the U.K. I got the Orange set up on Ebay, got to the UK and activated it and have been using it now for four years. Was a great bargain!

I bought a used phone on EBay and got a really good phone much cheaper than I could buy it anywhere else, I used it for 4 years. Also bought a second one for a friend and was lucky again, a good phone still going strong. I use EBay a lot and strongly advise that you deal with sellers with a good feed back!

Buying a mobile phone at Ebay is at your own risk. Some people may sell barred mobile phones. Which are almost like a brick and nothing can be done with it.
Some people would sell mobile phones which were flashed or unlocked with any unsafe methods. Such kind of mobile phones are always going to be a problem for you. Make sure if the mobile phone was unlocked in a safe method. It is safe for you to buy a network locked mobile phone and unlock ot safe yourself.
The safest and easiest way to unlock any model mobile phone is to unlock using unlock code. You can get the unlock code for a mobile phone from www.TheUnlockSpot.com at affordable cost with easy unlocking guide. Good luck.
