Do you still have a home phone?

My friend had her home phone disconnected and all she and her husband use now are their cellphones. I've heard a lot of people are doing these because it's cheaper than having to pay two bills. I still like having my house phone though, I don't think I'm going to go with just the cell.

I still have my home phone, but my sister just moved into a new house and didn't bother having a land line connected. Her and her boyfriend use their cells phones. She seems to think it works out better for them, and I guess it would cut down on the bills. Personally, I prefer having both. I like being able to talk on my home phone and not worry about the battery going dead or bad reception.

That idea is Gross, definitely not good.
The idea of getting the home phone disconnected is just foolishness.
To call at a home phone is cheaper than cell.
And homw phone should at least be kept for calls.... emergency calls in case ur mobile network is down.
Anyways. different poeople has different opinions.
I still have my home phone working

I agree with the previous posters. I would not have my home phone disconnected. Sometimes I forget my phone in the car or at work. If I didn't have a home phone no one would be able to get a hold of me. Cell phones are great, but not always reliable enough to be completely dependant upon them for sole use. Just my thoughts, anyways.

My cell phone is dead way to often for me to depend on it as my only link to the outside world. I always forget to charge it, so I definitely need to keep my landline.

It's not an option for me to get rid of the home phone, simply because people don't always like phoning your mobile, and I don't want people to have to phone my mobile all the time to get hold of me. It also means keeping your phone on you everywhere you go inside your house as well as when you go out, that's just plain annoying.

Some of us too, use our cell phones for work purposes so it is nice to be able to shut it off and not have to worry about people calling you. After a long day, I just want to shut the phone off and if I need to talk with someone I will do it with my home phone. Saves on using minutes too. We don't have great plans like the US.

Well being a poor student I can only afford the one that gives me the cheapest overall deal, so I have only my cell phone. All of my friends who live off-campus are the same way, save for one guy.

I think home phone is neccessary (assuming you can afford it). Mobile phones are ok, but they can be annoying!

Nothing like a nice big house phone to pick up
