First don't turn it on or put it on charge.

Remove al you can ref the battery and back and any cases.

Then use the rice method to dry it out.

Don't use a hair drier etc.

The problem you may get is that if liquid has got into the internal motherboard then some oxidising will occur. This could cause issues with different parts of the phone failing in the future.

HTC is the one of the best company which producing best mobile phones. It has many smart phones like One X, Desire, sensation and many more. If you have problem of unlocking your phone you try for five times and then they will ask you to reset password. You can easily unlock your phone.

If you mean the network unlock code then you can buy the unlock code for your HTC Desire from network provider or a third party provider like Simpleunlocking.com and follow the free unlocking instructions from Mobileunlockguide.com so that you can remove the network lock easily.
