Sim Problems

I have just got my 2 kids new HTC phones, 2 sims on Vodafone, in my house one phone has 3 bars of signal the other no connection, swap the sims and the signal problem follows the sim and moves to the other phone, so the signal problem must be because of the sim? forgot to add that both sims work in high signal area, tried buying a new sim but the same problem, how can this be? does anyone have any ideas?

So the phones are working fine.

Speak to Vodafone for assistance.

They will probably send you a new sim and ensure everything is activated.

I've tried a new sim, and was very surprised to find it had the same problem, so I took it back and exchanged it and that sim had the same problem! Took both phones to a phone shop today , not vodafone as they are to far away from here, and the very puzzled but pleasant man behind the counter pointed out that the sim that works everywhere is the old type with the oval chip, the one that works only in high signal areas is the new type, rectangle chip, and that this was the only difference.

SIM problems with the phone is very conman problem as you say your phone show error for all SIM cards then it is the problem of your phone you have to update your phone software and have to reset your phone setting otherwise the company will be exchanging your phone.

Vodafone ahhhhhhhh

I've been told today by tech support from Vodafone that the one sim that doesn't work in my house is the new type of sim and they don't work so well in poor signal areas, they are designed to work with the upgraded Vodafone coverage, but my area is due or doesn't even have a date or a long term projection to be up graded, he basically told me I'm stuffed, you can't get the older style Sims any more!
