Virus on HTC smartphone?!

Hi, I'd be glad of some advice! A few months ago, on my mobile (HTC Desire S) I visited the website of a local mag - but their website was hacked into and infected with a Trojan virus. The virus (I was told) got onto my mobile, then onto my laptop (which I had hooked up to the phone so as to work on some images), even corrupted my email accounts. Everything had to be cleaned/changed!

Well, I now have another Trojan on my laptop. Great. Since the laptop isn't connected to the internet, I have to assume that the virus again came via the mobile (I've been downloading stuff on London, research for a book). Can anyone advise me on this and how to avoid it happening again? The shops are telling me viruses don't usually get onto mobiles - but it's here and on all my hardware! Probably going to have to get flashdrives cleaned and memory cards re-formatted etc.

HTC is becoming more and more popular and favorite brand in youngsters just because of it's smart phone series. I like it's all latest launch. This problem of virus is very conman. You don't have to worry about it you should download anti-virus App on your phone

Never heard of a smartphone virus as yet and tbh the only way you'd get one is by installing an app/opening an attachment from somewhere you don't know. Just use common sense and you'll be fine
There are plenty of anti virus solutions for most smartphone platforms. There are also plenty of smartphone viruses. These viruses are not distributed widely, and their victim range (normally a specific handset, with specific firmware, on a specific carrier, using a certain application), is so low it's almost laughable.

Heard about it many times, I would recommend you to go for anti virus software. This will help you out to protect your phone. The cool thing about this phone is that it is damn simple to use so need to worry more about viruses and all such stuffs.
