Sony to Nokia Corrupted MMS

Hi All,

I've been on countless sites and still can't find the solution to my problem;

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 (on 3 network). My Mum has a Nokia Asha 201 (on T Mobile network).
Both are PAYG.
When I send her a photo MMS it arrives black, white and corrupted.

I'm not sure if this is a handset problem or a network problem.

Any help would REALLY be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gamma239.

If you send mms to another person are these ok ?
If so then your mums phone is to blame.
If not then re check your settings or have the network send you the full setting ota via text message where you would just save and activate them.

Ask your mum to do the same.

This is a way to narrow down the problem.

Hi,

I have sent MMS to a Sony Xperia Arc, on T Mobile pay monthly with no problems.
My Mum has sent me MMS from her Nokia Asha, with no problems.
The only problem is when I send her MMS.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Well thro elimination you have found that its your phone that is in error.

As I've said in my earlier post speak to your network in order to have the settings sent to your phone via a text message and try again.

Hi,

No, I think it's my mother's phone which has the problem of receiving MMS.

Do you know any settings I can input?

Thanks for your replies.

Well thro reduction you have discovered that its your cellphone that is in mistake.

As I've said in my previously publish talk with your system to be able to have the configurations sent to your cellphone via a word and try again.

Hi I spoke to T Mobile and they said it was an issue with the Handset (Nokia).
I have contacted Nokia and am waiting on a response.

Anyone else know how to fix this issue?

Hi, I found out the Nokia can only display GIFs/Images which are 256K colours.
I found a GIF convertor for the Sony on Android Market and have sent a photo to the Nokia successfully.

Many thanks for all your advice.
