Looking for a phone that works with MS Outlook
I need a new phone. Suggestions would be apprecieated. The functional spec follows.
The phone is for business. I use it in fairly harsh environments. It mustn't fall apart if it drops of the van seat into the footwell. It must have a good level of resistance to dust.
It would be nice to have a screen size around 105mm (diag)
I need access to the following MS Outlook data-:
OneNote (would be nice)
...and allow me to display-:
Excel & Word docs
I understand that Tasks could be a problem.
My HTC HD2 is dying; but it was a heap from the word go anyway. Then I dropped it on a concrete floor. However, I set it up with MS Mobile Win6.5 which synchronises beautifully with my PC and (if the phone worked somewhere near properly) would have ticked all the boxes.
Before the smart phone I used an HP iPAQ which had fantastic functionality, eg pull out the battery / reset / clear, and it would synchronise perfectly ... AND ... reset and display all the current reminders. Not a chance with the HD2.
I have been hoping to meet someone who has the same requirement as me and has already solved the problem. I was shocked to find that MobWin7 could not sync tasks. I understand this remains an issue with Win8.
I also emailed the question to Samsung tech support and got the most school-girlishly pathetic response imaginable.
Where are the people who know how to use phones for business, not just for playing games and texting their mates.... ?!
What about the Nokia Lumia 920. The smartphone runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS. It is powered by 1.5GHz Dual Core Krait processor, Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB RAM.
Always trust in Android, You will be able to do everything on your phone what you crave for..go for android
